Jimbaran Beach stretches a long way, and there are two spots with restaurants. One area is quite pricey, but the quality of food doesn’t always match the cost. The other area, which we recommend, is situated south of Jimbaran beach and offers the best bang for your buck.
Here, you have a whopping 17 restaurants right on the beach. While most of them are likely very good, I haven’t personally tried them all. To help you decide, we suggest checking out the reviews on Google Maps and Tripadvisor for the restaurant that catch your eye. Here’s the list of restaurants:
Now, we’ll give you an example using ROMA CAFE. It provides good value for money, but we aren’t advocating it over any of the others. It’s essential to compare several restaurants before making your decision.
For all beachside restaurants, it’s a good idea to inquire about all-inclusive packages with a set price. Also, be sure to ask if the prices shown include VAT or not (both VAT and Service). If you’re ordering fish a la carte, get the price per kilogram in advance and double-check the weight of the fish with them (sometimes they might charge more than it actually weighs). They might try to encourage you to order more, in which case, exercise caution and consider looking into other restaurants.
The staff at Roma Café is not only welcoming and friendly but also incredibly helpful. They wear smiles that make you feel right at home. Service here is quick, and when your food arrives, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the hearty portions. And let’s not forget about the dishes and sauces – they’re simply mouthwatering!

After choosing a table, preferably with your feet in the sand, you’ll be invited to select the seafood you’d like to have grilled and cooked: fish/crabs/lobsters, the choice is yours. What more can one ask for than savoring fresh seafood and fish with the soothing sound of waves and the stunning sunset view? However, we advise you to book a table in advance as, due to its popularity, the restaurant can sometimes be crowded, especially on weekends.

Balangan Beach
Good for: Sandy beach, surf
Uncrowded, it almost looks like a secret beach with its cliffs and strips of white sand. No massive constructions on the horizon, only a few wooden bungalows. Prefer a visit at high tide for a better quality of swimming.
Balangan Beach is a beautiful white sand beach at the foot of the cliffs, covered at its edge with palm trees and green grass. The sand is white but not very fine and swimming is only possible on a small piece at the right end. The beach is dotted with a few surfer restaurants and deckchairs with umbrellas. Generally uncrowded, it is a beach that I highly recommend you visit.
The beach is located on the Bukit peninsula after Jimbaran but before the Ulu Watu temple.
You can easily get there by scooter or car. Just follow the map.
Padang Padang Beach
Good for: Sandy beach, surf
Padang Padang Beach, situated on Bali’s southwestern coast, is a tropical haven that enchants beachgoers with its captivating beauty and laid-back ambiance.
You access the beach by a few steps, passing some macaques. The creek is nice, the possibility of swimming too. Snacks and drinks on site.
In addition to being a world-famous surf spot, the beach owes part of its fame to the filming of a scene from the film “Eat, Pray, Love” starring Julia Roberts. In addition to the idyllic setting, it is the access to the beach that reinforces the charm of the place. The waters are in charge of digging a path in the middle of the rocks where some stairs facilitating the passage will lead you to the cove. Victim of its popularity, the place is very busy, it is advisable to go there on weekday mornings for more tranquility.
Good to know:
For a unique and unforgettable moment, try to go there early in the morning to watch the sunrise before it gets too crowded.

Accessible at low tide only, you will have to take a narrow canyon to discover this natural pearl, hidden in a cave. Its fame is legendary among surfers due to the quality of its waves. The few bars in the heights invite you to admire the prowess of these athletes while sipping a Bintang (Indonesian beer).

This is another of the beaches in Bali that goes unnoticed by tourists.
The spectacle at the entrance is impressive since 5 imposing statues nestled in the rock welcome visitors. Once you arrive facing the ocean, walk a few minutes to your left to enjoy a peaceful corner. The white sand and the azure blue water will take care of making you spend a magical moment.

Very intimate lagoon with mesmerizing blue, located on the edge of Padang Bai. A real haven of peace hidden in the middle of lush vegetation. You will be able to rent fins, mask and snorkel to enjoy the seabed accessible a few meters from the edge.

Pasir Putih Beach, in Candidasa, East Bali

Pasir Putih Beach (also called Virgin Beach) is a beautiful beach that owes its name to the many wanderers who discovered it. Travelers who were struck by its stretch of pristine silky sand with a fabulous view of the small rocky islet of Gili Biaha far on the horizon gave it the name Virgin Beach.
In addition, those who were impressed by the unique combination of rocks stuck in white sand and calmer waves than on neighboring shores called it White Sand Beach. Getting to the secluded coast of Pasir Putih Beach is an adventure in itself. Mile-long dirt tracks, rocky terrain, and narrow passages lead you to the shore once your vehicle is safely parked in the parking lot above.
But, don’t let the difficulty of the trail put you off. The magnificence of this beach, which soothes the eyes, is well worth the effort it takes to reach it. When you get there, don’t miss out on a hike. It’s certainly difficult but it’s worth it. The beauty of this beach lies in its natural splendor.
How to get there? Go to Perasi village located on the main road Jalan Raya Candidasa-Bugbug and look for Pura Bale Agung temple. A dirt road on the other side of the sanctuary leads to the beach.

Lovina Beach, North of Bali

Seminyak
An upscale area on the west coast of Bali, just north of Kuta and Legian, filled with luxury rejuvenating spas, hotels, shops, high-end boutiques and vibrant gay nightlife. This area stands as a testament to Bali’s ability to seamlessly blend luxury, culture, and diversity into an unforgettable experience for all who visit.
Kuta
A popular area district in the south of Bali and one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia. It takes 20 minutes to drive from Seminyak to Kuta or you can walk, it takes 50 minutes. Tips: you can walk from Seminyak beach to Kuta beach and it takes around 50 minutes.
Legian
A suburban beach on the west coast of Bali, just north of Kuta and south of Seminyak.
Only 30 mn walk from Seminyak to Legian or you can take a taxi, it take only 8 minutes drive.
Pura Ulun Danu Bratan (Lake Bratan Temple)
Built in 1633, this iconic temple sits on the western shore of Lake Bratan and can give the illusion of floating on water. The reflection in the water of the temple (also known as Bedugul) and the mountainous surroundings provide a superb setting for a visit. From Seminyak to Lake Bratan Temple takes 1h 30 minutes.
One of the nine main directional temples in Bali. Its visit provides beautiful views of the ocean, but you will have to be careful with your belongings because the temple is inhabited by many thieving monkeys. It takes 50 minutes drive from Seminyak to Uluwatu Temple. You can watch the sunset over the temple while enjoying a traditional Kecak dance performance.
Tanah Lot Temple is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, but you can only visit it when the tide is low.
The ideal is to go there during low tide so that you can discover it by foot. Its name means “land in the sea” in Balinese. According to popular beliefs, the base of the temple is invested by a giant sea serpent which protects the sacred place from intruders. It takes 40 mn drive from Seminyak to Tanah Lot temple.
The central highland district of Bali, filled with verdant rice terraces and forests. You will also see a lot of rice fields, terraced or not, during your journey in the Balinese lands. Here are the most remarkable: Tegalalang, Antosari, Busungbiu, Karangasem, Jatiluwih and Pupuan. It takes 1 hour drive from Seminyak to Ubud center.
Jatiluwih
A beautiful view of the contoured rice terraces using a water system developed by Balinese farmers (nominated for designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site). It takes 1h 30mn drive from Seminyak to Jatiuwih Jatiluwih rice terraces.
Tirta Gangga Water Palace
Means “water of the Ganges”; a popular site of worship for Balinese Hindus. You may visit the Water Palace on your way between Amed and Ubud. Whether you are traveling from Ubud to Amed or vice versa, make sure you have a stopover. From Seminyak to Tirta Gangga takes 1 hour 50 minutes drive. Because this park is quite remote so much more convenient to do it on your way.
Jimbaran
A fishing village and a tourist beach in the south of Bali. It takes 30 mn drive from Seminyak to Jimbaran. Jimbaran is indeed quieter except in the evening on the beach where the seafood dinners “feet in the water” attract many people (more local).
Tanjung Benoa, which offers a wide range of water sports: jetski, kitesurfing, parasailing, banana boat, flyfish, snorkeling, wake board, sea walker. Find the center is fully equipped: showers, changing room with changing room and individual lockers + safety equipment is required with life jacket for all activities. It takes 35 minutes drive from Seminyak to Tanjung Benoa.
